Our engineers who carry out the tests and inspections are competent, and are able to ensure their own safety, as well as that of others in the vicinity. It follows that they are skilled and have experience of the type of installation to be inspected and tested so that there will be no accidents during the process to people, to livestock, or to property. The Regulations do not define the term ‘competent’, but it should be taken to mean a qualified electrician or electrician engineer.

The amount of time the inspection takes depends on the type of the installation, labelling of the fuse boards and whether the installation is being used at the time of testing.

Any faults found are given a code of reference:

  • Code 1- Urgent attention required.
  • Code 2- Improvement required.
  • Code 3- Requires further investigation Code 1 & 2 observations/faults will deem the installation to be unsatisfactory and will have to be rectified to bring the report up to a satisfactory condition.

We use the latest NICEIC certification software for the reports which can be printed or emailed to the client. The report comes complete with a full schedule of the circuits tested and schematic drawing.
